In July of 2023, two local Bitcoiners connected using the Orange Pill App at Block Height 799789 and got together to talk Bitcoin and discuss the potential for a Savannah area Meet Up. Within a few weeks, the first official SAVBTC Meet Up was held in August. Two became four, then six, then eight and so on. We continue to expand and grow our network, just like Bitcoin itself!

Our mission is to spread awareness and adoption of Bitcoin in the Savannah and Greater Savannah area including, but not limited to Brunswick, Effingham, Richmond Hill, Hinesville, Pooler, Beaufort (SC), Bluffton (SC) and Hilton Head (SC).

The main offering of SAVBTC is the monthly Meet Up, but we have plans to add special events and family friendly outings. In addition to that, we hope to be able to host VIP guests who are considered experts in the space who can present educational content. Long term, we may even look to host an annual Bitcoin Conference with Savannah being a unique and popular destination.
